Ingredients for 8 parts
- 1 Kg. tomatoes
- 0.5 c. à c. sea salt
- 1 onion
- 2 garlics
- 4 c. à s. olive oil
- 2 c. à s. basilic
- 0.25 c. à c. black pepper
- 1 c. à c. dried oregano
Steps
- Wash and cut the tomatoes into pieces.
- Slice the onion and mince the garlic.
- In a saucepan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic for a few minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Blend the sauce until you get a smooth consistency.
- Serve chilled with pasta, pizzas, vegetables, or grilled meats.
