Ingredients for 5 parts
- 50 g. butter
- 1 g. sea salt
- 2 c. à s. breadcrumbs
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic
- 200 ml. whole milk
- 1 c. à s. olive oil
- 1 g. black pepper
- 1 Kg. potatoes
- 1 carrot
- 1 g. grounded nutmeg
- 1 thyme
- 50 g. grated cheese
- 500 g. minced beef steak 20% fat
- 1 c. à s. tomato juice from concentrate
- 1 bay leaves
Steps
- Peel, cut and cook the potatoes in salted water. Drain and mash with milk, butter, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Chop the onion (and carrot and garlic). Sauté in oil or butter, then add the ground meat. Cook, crumbling the meat.
- Add the tomato paste, thyme and bay leaf. Season.
- In a gratin dish, spread the ground meat, then cover with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese and breadcrumbs (optional).
- Bake in the oven until the top is browned.
