Ingredients for 8 parts
- 150 g. water
- 1 c. à c. ground ginger
- 1 c. à c. ground cinnamon
- 1 c. à c. grounded nutmeg
- 1 lime
- 7 apples red delicious
Steps
- Peel the apples, remove the seeds and cut them into large pieces.
- Pour the apple pieces into a large saucepan and add a bottom of water (about 150g).
- Sprinkle with cinnamon according to your taste.
- Add a pinch of ginger and nutmeg.
- Cut a slice of yellow lemon and remove the seeds. Squeeze the lemon juice into the pan.
- Heat the apples over low heat for at least 45 minutes, until the apples melt. Stir regularly.
- Pour into a jar once the compote has cooled.
