Steps

  1. Peel the apples, remove the seeds and cut them into large pieces.
  2. Pour the apple pieces into a large saucepan and add a bottom of water (about 150g).
  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon according to your taste.
  4. Add a pinch of ginger and nutmeg.
  5. Cut a slice of yellow lemon and remove the seeds. Squeeze the lemon juice into the pan.
  6. Heat the apples over low heat for at least 45 minutes, until the apples melt. Stir regularly.
  7. Pour into a jar once the compote has cooled.
