Ingredients for 12 parts
- 120 g. butter
- 1 c. à c. sea salt
- 50 g. flour
- 150 g. powdered sugar
- 100 g. almond powder
- 4 egg white
Steps
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Mix almond powder, icing sugar, flour and salt in a bowl.
- Lightly beat the egg whites with a fork in another bowl, without whisking them into peaks.
- Add the egg whites to the dry mixture and mix well.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan until it becomes hazelnut brown.
- Let the hazelnut butter cool slightly then add it to the mixture.
- Lightly butter the financier molds or muffin tins and fill them three-quarters full with the mixture.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the financiers are golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Let cool before enjoying.
