Ingredients for 8 parts
- 3 eggs
- 100 g. butter
- 150 g. sugar
- 50 g. powdered sugar
- 250 g. soft / patent flour
- 1 c. à s. lemon peel
- 200 ml. cream
- 100 ml. semi-skimmed milk
- 1 c. à s. baking powder
- 100 g. milk chocolate
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
- Add the eggs one by one, then the melted butter, milk, and lemon zest. Mix until you get a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into a cake mold.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the cake cool before unmolding it.
- Prepare the glaze: in a saucepan, melt the milk chocolate over low heat. Add the cream and mix until you get a smooth mixture.
- Coat the cake with chocolate glaze and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Decorate with Easter eggs.
- Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
