Apfelstrudel, or apple strudel, is a traditional Austrian dessert, usually prepared with thin sheets of filo pastry. This recipe offers a simplified version, without filo pastry, but with a homemade dough that is soft and flavorful. The apples are flavored with cinnamon and raisins, then wrapped in this dough and baked until golden brown. This strudel is perfect for an afternoon snack or a comforting dessert. Its preparation is faster than the traditional version, while retaining the authentic taste of Apfelstrudel.
