Ingredients for 8 parts
- 1 egg
- 80 g. butter
- 70 g. sugar
- 0.25 c. à c. sea salt
- 1 c. à c. ground cinnamon
- 250 g. soft / patent flour
- 50 g. raisin sec
- 100 ml. semi-skimmed milk
- 500 g. apples red delicious
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the egg, melted butter, and milk. Mix until you get a smooth dough.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, wash, peel, and slice the apples thinly. Mix the apple slices with the raisins, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Arrange the apples in the center of the dough.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the apples. Brush the strudel with melted butter.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until the strudel is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
