Ingredients for 12 parts

Steps

  1. Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl until fluffy.
  2. Add the flour and baking powder, then stir in the melted butter. Mix well until you have a smooth batter.
  3. Add the grated lemon zest (optional).
  4. Grease and flour the madeleine pan.
  5. Fill each mold cavity 3/4 full.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes, until the madeleines are golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before dusting with icing sugar (optional).
