Ingredients for 4 parts
- 20 g. butter
- 0.25 c. à c. sea salt
- 1 onion
- 0.25 c. à c. black pepper
- 15 g. soft / patent flour
- 1 c. à s. sunflower oil
- 150 ml. vin blanc
- 200 g. riz rond
- 1 c. à s. worcestershire sauce
- 300 g. minced beef steak 20% fat
- 100 ml. beef broth
- 200 g. champignon de paris
- 200 g. tomato sauce
Steps
- Prepare the rice: cook the round rice in a saucepan according to package instructions.
- Slice the onion and cut the mushrooms into slices.
- In a pan, heat the sunflower oil and sauté the ground beef until browned. Add the onion and mushrooms and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the red wine and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In another saucepan, melt the butter and add the flour. Mix until you get a roux. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly.
- Add the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the ground beef and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve the Hayashi Rice hot over a bed of white rice.
