Steps

  1. Peel and cut the carrots, potatoes, and turnips into medium-sized pieces. Mince the onion.
  2. In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the carrots, potatoes, and turnips. Sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Pour the chicken broth into the pot. Add the bouquet garni, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 30 minutes.
  5. Add the peas and green beans. Simmer for another 15 minutes, until all the vegetables are tender.
  6. Remove the bouquet garni before serving. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
